The Estate
A unique place with wines like Allée Bleue Isabeau in a heavenly setting. Known to be one of the oldest wine farms in the area, Allée Bleue has had an eventful past, yet was, until recently, one of the undiscovered jewels of the Cape Winelands.
Allée Bleue (blue avenue or drive) owes its name to the statuesque, blue eucalyptus trees that magnificently line the entrance to the estate. For us however, this name also expresses homage to the blue planet, the sky and water, and the colour of peace.
Allée Bleue Wine Estate is situated in Franschhoek, in the heart of the Western Cape wine route. The estate itself is located near Franschhoek village and owes its name to the giant, ‘blue’ eucalyptus trees, which form a long line leading up to the entrance to the farm.
The popular Allée Bleue Isabeau is flagship white wine and it is a blend of 68% Chardonnay, 21% Semillon and 11% Viognier. As a white blend Allée Bleue Isabeau is in perfect balance and it will age beautifully, over the next 2-4 years.
Tasting Notes
On the nose
Fragrant citrus and dried apricot welcome you on the nose. There are layers of spicy cinnamon and soft vanilla which follows on to the palate.
On the palate
Silky with elegant flavours of summer fruits and has a lingering, lemony aftertaste.
