Onse Huisie, ‘Our Little Home’ in Afrikaans, is a picturesque spot set on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, with Robben Island and Table Mountain in view. What we love is that the entire restaurant is kid-friendly, the entire restaurant! Scenery and playground aside, the breakfast will leave you singing; try the Tomato filled with Onion and Feta, served with eggs and salmon. Once completely stuffed enjoy a stroll along the coast.

French-inspired bistro meets West Coast cuisine. The quaint building is a heritage site where one can imagine the first settlers coming to our shores 200-years ago. Flavours are abundant with Mediterranean influences like the signature breakfast – a wedge of grilled polenta topped with gorgonzola, thyme and mushroom sauce. But there are also firm South African flavours like the pap and cheddar corn cake topped with spinach, pan-fried mushrooms, tomato relish, crispy bacon bits, two fried eggs and grilled corn.
