Switch up from chickpeas and give this pea hummus a go.

2 C (500 ml) fresh peas- frozen can also be used
1 tsp (5 ml) tahini
1 tsp (5 ml) sesame oil
1/3 C (80 ml)lLemon juice
1 tsp (5 ml) ground cumin
½ C (125 ml) chopped coriander
drizzle of olive oil
1 clove garlic, grated- optional
Cook the peas in boiling, salted water, being careful not to overcook them. Strain and place in a food processor with the rest of the ingredients.
Blend to a smooth paste, adding a little water to aid the blending process, if necessary.
Serve as a dip or pate with breads or these seed crackers.
