This iconic drink needs no introduction. Boozy and tart, this is a real margarita.

salt and 1 lime to coat the rim of the glasses
¼ C (60 ml) Cointreau
3 Tsps (45 ml) fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
Slice one lime into wedges and run along the rim of the glasses you’re using to serve. Set aside. Pour salt onto a small plate. Dip the rims of the glasses into the salt to coat.
Combine the tequila, Cointreau and lime juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake for about 15 seconds, until well chilled. Fill glasses with ice and strain Margarita into each glass.
