Chocolate Truffle Heart Spoons

These yummy choc heart spoons make cute gifts and are a fun take on truffles.

900 g dark chocolate
1 C (250 ml) fresh cream

Line a 22-cm square cake tin with baking paper, making sure the sides of the tin are lined as well.

Melt the chocolate in the top of a double boiler. Warm the cream slightly in a saucepan and pour it into the chocolate. Mix them together with a whisk.

Pour the mixture into the cake tin and place it in the refrigerator to set for 2 hours. Remove the mixture from the tin and, using a small heart cookie cutter, cut out hearts. Gently press a teaspoon into each heart.

These can either be served as a truffle dessert or added to hot milk to make a yummy hot chocolate treat.
