Situated within the Ballito House Boutique Hotel, House Restaurant & Deli boasts pretty special views over the sea. Its clean, modern decor further accentuates the relaxed feeling that you get as you walk in. The restaurant is run by Rebecca and Katie Lund of Delish Sisters, who create a homely feel with their style of food, as well as their bubbly approach.

You can expect dishes like ginger Asian slaw with shaved almonds, roasted aubergine with pomegranates and tahini dressing, sticky balsamic sausages and moreish mushroom and thyme phyllo cigars.
The food that they create at House is fresh, healthy and light. They are also offering HCLF Tim Noakes-friendly options for the diet conscious. There really aren’t many places offering this type of fare in Durban and it is totally worth the trip out, even if it’s just to gaze out at the view.
House offers superb coffees and infusion teas, not mention the homemade sweets on offer. They have probably the most decadent home made brownies you have ever tasted and with ever changing cake and tart options, you will be going back for more.
Just to top it all off there’s a deli section too – stocked with home made preserves, jams and baked goods and is soon to boast a cured meats, cheeses, pesto’s and hearty heat-and-eat meals section.
Having been in a kitchen with a mom that loved food and cooking, The Delish Sisters very quickly developed an insatiable passion for it themselves. Embarking on their first food adventure by starting a stall at The Wonder Market where they enticed market-goers with their tantalising slow roasted lamb naan wrap, with taziki and home made caramelised onion relish. Growing from there into several other popular Durban food markets and then catering.
