The Belmond Mount Nelson
In the heart of the Mother City, against the backdrop of Table Mountain, sits the pastel pink Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel. Tea at the ‘Nellie’ is a traditional affair with offerings of dainty finger sandwiches with toppings of rare roast beef and rocket, smoked salmon, egg mayonnaise, and of course, cucumber. The One&Only Cape Town
High tea at the One&Only Cape Town takes place in the heart of the resort – the Vista Bar and Lounge. With ceiling to floor glass windows, take in views of the mountain and the waterside. Everyday guests are treated to a selection of sweet and savoury goodies prepared by pastry chef, Kyle Hickman. All items are prepared in the classic French way with a One&Only Cape Town twist.

Manna Bay Hotel
When you’re looking to escape the city hustle for high tea in Cape Town, head on up to the Manna Bay Hotel. Enjoy a spot of tea and cake on the slopes of Table Mountain, while overlooking the Atlantic ocean. On offer will be a selection of decadent sweet and savoury treats, plus a glass of Graham Beck Rosé Methodé Cap Classique. Tea, coffee and juices are also on offer.

Indian High Tea At The Yard At The Silo
The Yard has launched a brand new high tea in Cape Town; the distinctive menu takes its lead from the opulence of a traditional Indian high tea and will include delightful desserts inspired by the heritage of co-owner GP Singh, who hails from Punjab, India.
Both savoury and sweet options are generously served directly to your table. The savoury options offer an elegant twist on popular Indian street food such as Chicken Kathi Wraps, Mumbai Style Sandwiches and Falafel Pita Pockets.
For sweet delicacies, expect the likes of Gulab Jamun (a traditional Indian sweetmeat)-flavoured cheesecake, miso-glazed éclairs, saffron-spiced carrot cake and the house speciality, a green tea sponge cake served with coconut mousse.

Fans of Truth coffee will enjoy their unpretentious steampunk styled high tea. Sip on a glass of Pol Roger Champagne while enjoying a selection of at least 9 different Petit Fours, served with your choice of their entire selection of Single Origin and Nigiro Tea’s.

Visitors to the Anthonij Rupert Tasting Room can enjoy afternoon tea with the picture perfect Groot Drakenstein Mountains as a backdrop. Guests are served a beautifully displayed selection of five sweet and two savoury items. Includes either a Premier Cru tea, an artisanal coffee or a glass of L’Ormarins Brut NV.

The Vineyard Hotel
Sit down at the Garden Lounge for Lady’s Anne’s Afternoon Tea surrounded by the rolling green lawns and expansive gardens of the hotel. Served on a three-tier cake stand, tea consists of delightful sandwiches, sweets and savoury treats.

Alphen Boutique Hotel
On offer at The Alphen are dainty, delicious sandwiches, home baked savoury and sweet delicacies and whimsical culinary treats, all lavishly presented. The Cellars Hohenort
Afternoon tea is offered at The Conservatory daily and the good news is that a low carb option is available. Tea treats are served on a tiered stand and can be enjoyed while relaxing in the lounge area, or in the restaurant with views over the garden.
The tea includes savouries such as Vietnamese Prawn Rice Paper Rolls and Grass Fed Beef & Peppadew Sosaties and sweets such as Dark Chocolate Beetroot Cupcakes and Panna Cotta. It’s a lovely way to unwind, catch up with a friend and enjoy the hotel’s stunningly lush surroundings.
