Experience the Farm Life at Boschendal
It is extremely hard to box Boschendal into one offering, as the farm really offers it all in some way or another. From expansive gardens (including the must-see Werf Garden) to the wide range of wines they produce, through to picnics and events and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Boschendal is a one-stop destination farm that allows visitors a small glimpse into the farm-style life that we all long to live. They rear Black Angus cattle and the resulting free-range, grass-fed beef can be purchased from the farm butchery, or eaten in the restaurant. They have a brood of the happiest free-range chickens and their eggs can also be purchased at the onsite farm store, along with a host of other ethically sourced products.
There is a dedicated play area for children, historical buildings to explore, as well as two wine tasting areas where the farm’s large collection of wine can be tasted. The Farm Shop & Deli offers light meals and amazing baked goods (including bread baked on site), there is also The Werf Restaurant, led by Chef Christiaan Campbell, which is a more elevated experience offering a contemporary and elegant farm-to-table menu. There are picnics on offer when the weather permits and you can also opt to stay in the stunning accommodation on the adjacent farm, all part of the Boschendal property.
