Situated within the Alphen Boutique Hotel, Blanko offers contemporary Italian food in a heritage setting. Clean, white spaces provide wall space for a selection of artworks by South African artists. The shady terrace area is great for hot summer lunching or after work drinks leading into dinner.
The homestead built in 1773, hosted illustrious guests such as Cecil John Rhodes, Mark Twain and Captain Cook, was converted into a hotel in 1962.
The a la carte menu includes Italian charcuterie or cheese platters, traditional soups, salads, pasta, fish and meat dishes with a contemporary twist.

Situated in an original, whitewashed Cape Dutch building on the historic Buitenverwachting farm with views to die for Chef Patron Edgar Osojnik’s dishes are as pretty as they are inventive.
Chose from either the Light and Easy, Rustic Affairs, Indulge or Dessert menus, all of which change seasonally.
Breakfasts, light lunches, delicious coffee and pastries available in the less formal Coffee BloC next door.

This upmarket farmstall with a focus on healthy produce not only serves delicious, simple meals but offers an artisan bakery selling breads, cakes and pastries, artisan chocolates, free-range meats, cheeses and fresh produce.
Menus for breakfast and lunch change daily but could include French Toast with Berry Compote, Avocado Toast, Chicken Breast Burgers, Veggie Wraps or Rooties with Salad.
Trained in iconic Cape Town restaurants such as Olympia Café and La Colombe, chef-owner Charmaine Anne Lilje, brings her own happy style to the Constantia restaurant she opened in 2014.

Chef’s Warehouse at Beau Constantia
Liam Tomlin’s venture into the Constantia valley opened at the end of 2016 and chef Ivor Jones (previously head chef at The Test Kitchen) maintains the high standard of cuisine and continues to ‘keep it fresh and fun’.
Situated on the boutique wine farm Beau Constantia, at the top of Constantia Nek, the ceiling-high glass doors and windows offer an incredible view over the vines and the Constantia valley towards False Bay. The ambience is elegant with clean architectural lines letting the food and the view do the talking. The open kitchen allows you to interact with the chefs as they create the magical dishes.
Chef’s Warehouse at Beau Constantia follows its big Bree Street brother’s footsteps – the house speciality is tapas for 2 (R650, 8 plates served over 3 courses) with menu items changing with the season. Plating is delicate and service is friendly and efficient. We recommend that you try some of the Beau Constantia wines with your meal.

Chef-owner Glen Foxcroft Mitchell, honed his pastry skills at renowned La Colombe before fulfilling his dream of opening his own establishment, Foxcroft, together with the acclaimed Scot Kirton in 2016, where his confections are available for take home along with breads, croissants and house-made butter, jams, oils, preserves and chocolate.
The set menu offers a choice of two tapas dishes, one main course and a dessert and changes seasonally. Crisp Pork Cheek, Franschhoek Trout and Roast Pumpkin Risotto, Line Fish and Slow Cooked Lamb served with Kale, Nettles and Whiskey Mustard are interesting options. An extensive charcuterie platter is also available including a good selection of cheeses and bread from the bakery.

Greenhouse at The Cellars-Hohenhort
Executive Chef, Peter Tempelhof and Head Chef, Ashley Moss take local ingredients to a new and exciting level at Greenhouse. The 12-course dinner takes you on a culinary sensory journey with each dish being creatively and exquisitely plated, culminating in the sweets being presented on a fynbos Bonsai, Namibian Mopane Root and Madagascan petrified wood.

Harbour House Constantia
Harbour House Constantia is the sister restaurant to Harbour House Kalk Bay and the Waterfront and sticks to the winning formula of serving the freshest seafood elegantly plated but meat eaters are well catered for too with dishes such as Karoo Lamb Cutlets and Beef Fillet. Chalkboard menu features the catch of the day.
Décor is fresh and simple with white interiors and feature stone walls. Floor to ceiling windows let in plenty of light and a view over the herb garden.

Explore the historic Manor house and the tasting room or take a stroll through gardens to enjoy the views over the vineyards to the sea in the distance.
This family-owned bistro, located at Groot Constantia Wine Estate, offers a choice of venues from fireside dining inside to the sunny courtyard or relaxed lunches on the lawns under the ancient oak trees with plenty of space for the kid’s to run around in safety. The kiddie’s breakfast menu offers favourites such as cheddar or chicken mayo toasties, scrambled eggs and French toast with a choice of mini drinks such as fruit slush, milkshakes and hot chocolate. Kid’s lunch menu also available including pasta of the day.
Cape Malay dishes such as Bobotie, Lamb and Chicken Curries served with tomato, onion and cucumber salsa, coriander chutney and vegetable atchar are the specialities of the house.
Good choice of salads, battered fish, charcuterie board, burgers, pasta and fillet as well as traditional malva pudding, milk tart and cheesecake to finish.

Consistently rated as one of the top restaurants locally and internationally, La Colombe should be top of your list if you’re planning a special meal. Chef proprietor, Scot Kirton heads up the team in the kitchen together with head chef, James Gaag who worked his way up through the ranks at La Colombe as well as doing a stint at Raymond Blanc’s Restaurant Le Manoir aux Quartre Saisons and Head Pastry Chef, Andre Steyn who believes that dessert should ‘be something that knocks your socks off.
The cool and simple modern décor has been aptly described as being like being in a rustic-chic tree house.

La Parada Constantia Nek
Located at the top of Constantia Nek in an old barn, this Constantia restaurant has been buzzing since the day it opened.

The Open Door is located on Constantia Uitsig Farm which dates back to 1685 when then Governor of the Cape, Simon van der Stel, was granted a tract of land. The building originally housed a school and some old school pictures adorn the walls of a passage. The owners have given a nod to the building’s heritage by reusing wooden beams above the large glass doors which welcome you into the light and airy interior. Floor to ceiling windows allow the daylight in and frame the stunning views of the vineyards and the distant mountains.
The door opens in time for breakfast, offering a good selection of options ranging from a Stewed Fruit and Mixed Nut Crumble with Yoghurt, Mixed Seed, Nuts and Coconut Granola with Beetroot Yoghurt and Fresh Fruit to Bacon and Eggs, a Potato Latke Sandwich or Croissant with Scrambled Egg with either salmon or bacon.
Watch the chefs in the open-plan kitchen prepare a range of dishes from the a la carte menu while you sip on wine from the region or pop in after work for the Community Hour menu offering a choice of 3 tapas style dishes and a glass of wine.

One of a group of restaurants found almost at the gates of Groot Constantia, Pastis Brasserie has been a favourite with locals for quite a while. The cosy bar area upstairs is a great place to snuggle up at the fireside in winter and in summer you can enjoy your meal at one of the traditional gingham covered outside tables.
Breakfast options include eggs benedict, eggs florentine, french toast and brie and bacon croissants. Blackboard options for lunch and dinner may be anything from bouillabaise or onion soup to entrecoute with bearnaise or oxtail, salads and a great selection of tasty hamburgers.

This restaurant with its tree-shaded patio is a favourite with locals who pop in regularly to catch the sport of the day in the cosy bar area, for a casual after-work drink or an extended weekend lunch under the trees on the terrace.

Simple and elegant, this French country inspired bistro serves freshly prepared meals from breakfast to lunch, delicous coffees and made-in-house pastries and breads.
Inventive, well-balanced dishes are delicately plated but offer generous portions.
The Quinoa Salad, Chicken Caesar sandwich and the Chicken Pot Pie are well worth a return visit.
