With a breathtaking environ such as the Helshoogte pass, it’s only natural that Delaire Graaff would produce some of the best food in the country. The wine farm itself is no shrinking violet and features a greenhouse and vegetable garden, guaranteeing that only the best ingredients are used. The menu is seasonal and ever-changing, but whatever you go for, be sure to savour it with a glass of the estate’s wine.

Rust en vrede

George Jardine seems to have outstanding food follow him wherever he goes, and is something of a local legend because of it. His residency on the exquisite Jordan wine farm quietly puts out some of the best food in Stellenbosch where he uses only the best local, organic ingredients. Wine Tasting In Paarl Overture

Easily one of the best restaurants in the country, Overture sits pretty on the rustic Happy Valley Wine Farm. With sweeping views of the Helderberg Mountains, you can enjoy Bertus Basson’s incredible food in the form of a tasting menu or three-course a lá carte. His take on nostalgic South African cuisine is fun while being some of the most amazing food you’ll eat. Insider tip: go for the tasting menu, it’s easier than trying to decide what of the delicious food to order.

Stellenbosch Terroir

Terroir is consistently good and you’re always guaranteed a great meal here. Clos Malverne doesn’t downplay the estate’s beauty, and for good reason, it’s easily one of the prettiest estates out there. Their more fine dining restaurant, Mise en Place, is open for the warmer summer months and if you’re looking to splash out a little, then you should not miss a chance to eat here. Be quick, though, their reservations spots fill up pretty quickly. The second dining option is Sansibar Bistro, a more relaxed and casual spot that welcomes the whole family.
